Chapuis frères - Coteaux Bourguignons
Description
Chapuis Coteaux Bourguignons Gamay. Coming from several plots in the village of Julienas. Granite sandy soil. 400m altitude. The wine undergoes a maceration of 9 days. Then aged for 5 months in barrel. No SO2 added and no filtration.
The brothers Chapuis, Romain and Guillaume own a very small winery in the heart of Pommard, Burgundy. After growing up in Aloxe-Corton, Romain was lucky enough to learn from the famous natural wine producer Pacalet. In 2009 they started their own cave in Pommard. Like many producers today, they look for good organic grapes and vines from winegrower friends in the area. They select the vineyards with the greatest care to create the best quality wines. They also own a few hectares of their own vineyards.
